I started my my brand new business, "Qwik Snak", in Jan of 2005.  I've eaten LOTS of snaks while on the road playing piano & singing (in USA & Europe) since 1974. So I feel somewhat of an expert already!

After 31 years, why have I forsaken the long lonely musician's life?

  1. Burnt out
  2. Mid-life crisis
  3. Bored
  4. Homesick
  5. ALL of the above

I needed a change AND more free time, so left that craziness behind to 'semi-retire' in the hills of Tennessee.

I always enjoyed being self employed, when the customer IS always right. Well, now I'm using my social, financial, & mechanical lessons in life to begin this new learning adventure!

I've decided to become a VENDING OPERATOR: the business of buying, placing on location, filling with product, removing the cash and maintaining vending equipment. WHEE! Not quite as glamorous as the music business...but finally, I have all my worldly possessions in one place!

P.S. The "Qwik Snak" business license is located in Bledsoe Co, TN.

Here's how I  got my mojo workin'...

  • The fire is roaring, I've been on the phone with the shipping company, time for a lunch break ...
  • (GOOD SERVICE is what I offer: Full, clean machines; great variety of refreshments; locally owned; twice weekly servicing!!)
  • I've received my record keeping papers, reorder forms & videos -- Information Input Overload --
  • Also, the promo material arrived, including 250 leads from zip codes I gave them. I stuff envelopes w/ brochures, add label & stamp, mail and wait for response.
  • In a coupla' days come my beautiful snack and drink vending machines (Lotta instructions)
  • I put them together [snack & drink machine in one!], attach dollar changer, find a welcome home (places with 20-50 employees), and the qwik snaks begin.
  • The location can pick WHATEVER they want; cokes AND pepsi, health drinks, 100's of snacks incl. lowfat & sugarfree.
  • The hardest part's carrying all that change to the bank...or so I'm told :-)
  • Got the munchies? It's time for a "Qwik Snak"!

  • UPDATE: SSM & INTERFLEX  , in Spring City,TN on Hwy 27, each have a machine now & are satisfied customers as of July 2007.

My customers say these are the coldest soft drinks they've ever had! Just a few degrees above freezing is a good temp if you're sweatin yur bee-hind off in an un-airconditioned factory.
